The Building Social Bridges project on social capital and entrepreneurial mindset comes alive
The second meeting of the “Building Social Bridges by Entrepreneurial Thinking” project was held in Vejle in Denmark from 10 to 11 March 2020 during which the first results of the project were discussed by the consortium partners in a “coronavirus” atmosphere since the partners from Italy and Cyprus participated via Skype due to the ongoing world emergency.
During the meeting in Denmark, the consortium discussed the first product of the project, IO1 1: “Research and analysis on core concepts of training entrepreneurial thinking and good practice of increasing social capital of migrants, refugees and school drop-outs” coordinated by CARDET, the Cypriot partner.
The project consortium also had the opportunity to visit two successful business projects in Denmark: Spinderihallerne and Fabrikanterne.
Spinderihallerne (the spinning mill) is a historic industrial building reopened in 2010 that offers Denmark fastest growing development and innovation environment for people working in the fields of business, design and art.
Fabrikanterne is a new space of development and innovation for retail entrepreneurship. It is a community made up of workshops of individual designers and producers, in residence, concerning lifestyle and design, with products sold in a common shop in the city of Vejle.
In Vejle, the partners also talked about the IO2: “Portraits of role models for increasing social capital” and IO3: “Toolkit on improving entrepreneurial competences and changing of entrepreneurial mindsets by learning of role models”.
The next project meeting will take place in Cyprus in mid-September 2020.
